I’m Whitney Masterson-Moyes — a wife, mother, and business owner. My family’s business, Moyesway Shooting Sports, supports local nonprofits and youth teams. Like many of you, we’re deeply rooted in Texas — my family’s legacy stretches all the way back to the Texas Revolution. I’m not a career politician. I’m a concerned citizen committed to defending the Constitution and challenging a federal government that’s losing its way.
Sam Houston once said, “Do right and risk the consequences.” That principle has guided Texans for generations, and it guides me now. My father, a proud Texan who fought in Vietnam at just 19 years old, raised me to believe that justice isn’t something that happens on its own. He instilled in me a deep respect for the Constitution, a caution toward unchecked authority, and that courage is not the absence of risk — it’s the willingness to do what’s right, even when the consequences are uncertain.
Today, we are facing those uncertain times. The federal government is undermining the Constitution, silencing dissent, and punishing those who dare to speak out. We are watching the erosion of checks and balances. We cannot afford to wait for justice to somehow arrive on its own. We must act — boldly, unapologetically, and now.
That’s why I’m running for Congress. Because I want my sons — and all children — to grow up in a country that still values freedom, still protects individual rights, and still believes that government answers to the people. Doing what’s right will not always be easy. But if we’re serious about protecting liberty, restoring accountability, and shaping a better future, then we must be willing to risk the consequences. I am — and I believe Texans are too.
